The new Giammoro Logistics Platform, developed in collaboration between Duferco and Maersk:
The terminal is located in Giammoro, in the industrial area of Pace del Mela, 4 km from the Milazzo motorway junction. It is designed as a fully intermodal logistics hub, seamlessly integrating maritime, road, and rail transport.
The terminal pier is designed to ensure the highest standards of efficiency and reliability, guaranteeing fast, safe, and punctual maritime operations.
Technical specifications:
- Dimensions and draft: Length 183 meters, width 32 meters, and draft up to 25 meters. Accidental load 6 ton/sq m, mooring jetty 30 meters to facilitate cable positioning outside the mooring platform and maximize its length
- Mobile cranes: 1 operational + 1 backup
- Mooring capacity: 2 berth points to handle multiple operations in parallel.
- 24/7 operations: the terminal operates continuously to meet the needs of international transport and logistics.
